Questions - Heart Matters

What does the heart information pack contain?

Each pack contains a letter and an application form for Heart Matters, our free information service. The pack will also contain a Heart Matters magazine, a Heart Helpline fridge magnet and leaflet.

Each pack is sent second class and should take 3 to 5 working days to arrive.

What is the lifestyle check and how do I take it?

The lifestyle check is a free service to help you assess your heart health, and set goals to improve it. It's easy to fill in and you’ll get a detailed, personal report with tips and support on how to improve all areas of your lifestyle.

I thought only my GP could know my details and advise me on my health – what help can the BHF give?

We have a team of team of experienced heart nurses and heart health advisers who can offer support and guidance on anything heart-related.

This includes helping people to make changes to their lifestyle, or understanding how their medications work, or what to expect after heart surgery.

This guidance can help support what you've been told by your GP - it does not replace your GP's advice.

How can I order a fundraising kit?

Call 0845 241 0976 or visit our website.

Our Red for Heart fundraising kit contains a fundraising guide, posters, stickers, a collection box, a donation form and a freepost return envelope.  Your kit will be sent out within 2 days of you placing your order.
