Anette was born with congenital ventricular septel
defect and aortic insufficiency.
In May 2008 she fell very ill with bacterial
endocarditis. But
after an operation and treatment she's now a full time mum and
student, back to exercising and living a full life.
Anette says: "I have three wonderful
young children who I will see grow up, and I enjoy life just a
little more!"
She's managed to build a full and happy life.
"I am very determined to look at all the
positives after my illness.
"It has taken some hard work, a few
tears on and off and lots of determination to recover
fully, but a year on from my illness I feel back to being me
again.”
Anette says the BHF helped her feel less alone in her
illness, with a wealth of support,
knowledge and kindness on
offer.
